Joaquin Phoenix's older brother, River Phoenix, known for his roles as a child actor in movies such as "Stand By Me," tragically died of an overdose while attending a concert with Joaquin on Halloween in Los Angeles in 1993. River Phoenix passed away just before he was set to film his role as the interviewer in "Interview with the Vampire."
