Former Ottawa Senators player, Dany Heatley, was involved in a car wreck that killed his teammate. He faced up to 20 years in prison and $5,000 in fines if convicted. However, he plead guilty to four out of six charges, received three years' probation, and had to "deliver 150 speeches about the dangers of speeding." Despite this, he continued to play in the NHL.


32. Frida Kahlo was impaled by a handrail in a bus accident, fracturing her spine and pelvis. She started painting during her recovery and went on to become one of Mexico's greatest artists. After the tragic suicide of socialite Dorothy Hale, Frida was commissioned by Hale's friend to paint a likeness of Hale. Instead of a beautiful portrait, Kahlo painted a sequence of Hale leaping to her death from her 16th story apartment. Frida also once cheated with the women her husband would cheat on her with to get back at him for cheating on her.

In 1984, Vince Neil, lead singer of Motley Crue, was involved in a drunk driving accident that resulted in the death of Hanoi Rocks drummer Nicholas "Razzle" Dingley and caused brain damage to two other people. Neil was sentenced to 30 days in jail, 5 years of probation, and 200 hours of community service, and was ordered to pay $2.6 million in restitution to the victims and their families. However, he was able to bail himself out of jail for $2.5 million and only served 18 days in prison due to overcrowding.

In 1989, Will Smith was arrested and charged with assault, aggravated assault, and criminal conspiracy. Smith's bodyguard had physically assaulted a record promoter who had made a derogatory comment about Smith's music, causing him to almost go blind. Shockingly, Smith did not intervene or try to stop the attack, but instead stood to the side and watched the entire thing unfold.

Barnes suffered several injuries, including a swollen eye and a cracked rib, as Dre slammed her head against a concrete wall, kicked her in the ribs, and attempted to throw her down a flight of stairs. A recording later surfaced in which Dre can be heard laughing with Eminem about the incident, even boasting about throwing her through a door.


40. Halle Berry was involved in a hit and run incident in February 2000, resulting in her leaving the scene of the accident. While driving her SUV in Los Angeles, she hit a car and then fled the scene, causing the other driver to suffer a broken wrist. Berry was charged with misdemeanor hit and run, fined $13,500, and ordered to perform 200 hours of community service. She also received three years of probation.

Later in her life, as a result of being stalked by a fan, producers had to change how sitcoms were made. To stop him from sneaking into the studio audience of "The Nanny," they began to cast the audience from extras. Drescher's husband later left her when he realized he was gay, and she battled uterine cancer in 2000.
