Former Ottawa Senators player, Dany Heatley, was involved in a car wreck that killed his teammate. He faced up to 20 years in prison and $5,000 in fines if convicted. However, he plead guilty to four out of six charges, received three years' probation, and had to "deliver 150 speeches about the dangers of speeding." Despite this, he continued to play in the NHL.
