Contrary to popular belief, Squidward from “SpongeBob SquarePants” is an octopus, not a squid. He only has six legs, because, six were easier to draw than eight. Stephen Hillenberg has also gone on to say Squidward sounded funnier than Octoboy. Even so, in some foreign dubs, Squidward has been renamed Octo.
