In South Korea, there is a day called Black Day which is celebrated on April 14, where single people eat noodles to lament their loneliness. This is in opposition to Valentine's Day and White Day, the days for couples.
2Restaurant Day
Helsinki, Finland has a four-times-a-year event called Restaurant Day. The occasion offers anyone the opportunity to set up a restaurant, café, or bar, for just one day, without having to apply for official permits – as long as alcohol is not on the drinks list.

‘Buy Nothing Day’ is an international day of protest against consumerism and 'Black Friday.' Participants wander around shopping malls or other consumer havens with a blank stare. In North America, the United Kingdom, Finland and Sweden, Buy Nothing Day is held the day after U.S. Thanksgiving, concurrent to Black Friday; elsewhere, it is held the following day, which is the last Saturday in November.
4Day of Silence
The “Day of Silence” (Nyepi) in Bali is a public holiday that mandates all tourists to be imprisoned in their hotels for 24 hours. No one is allowed on the streets, and could be arrested by Traditional Police. All businesses including the airport, ATMs, and TV broadcasts are shut down.

Newman’s Day is celebrated on April 24th by a lot of colleges in USA. It involves the drinking of at least 24 beers in 24 hours without throwing up or falling asleep. Any scheduled activity (e.g. work, classes, baptisms) must still be attended.

On the first sunny day of the year, women and girls in the Netherlands celebrate “rokjesdag”, which translates to skirts day. That’s the day all girls are suddenly wearing skirts. It is a great and beautiful day according to Dutch writer Martin Bril, who made the word “rokjesdag” popular in the Netherlands.

China has an annual holiday known as Tomb Sweeping Day when citizens visit the graves of their ancestors to leave tributes and burn incense. There are many rules about how to do this respectfully including not driving your car to the grave, and not attempting to summon ghosts.
