31Jean-Baptiste Lully
A 17th century composer Jean-Baptiste Lully died after stabbing himself in his pinky toe with his conducting baton during a performance. The resulting gangrene spread to his leg, which he refused to have amputated, so that he could continue to dance. It eventually spread to his brain, killing him.
32. King Alexander of Greece died after being bitten by a monkey that had attacked his German shepherd. This significantly impacted Balkan history and Winston Churchill later wrote, "it is perhaps no exaggeration to remark that a quarter of a million persons died of this monkey's bite."
