When Arnold Schwarzenegger turned down the planned sequel to Commando, it was reworked to star Bruce Willis and was retitled Die Hard.

RE: Fact #31 (Bruce Willis ) – False. Die Hard was not originally a sequel to Commando. Hollywood legend claims the 1988 Bruce Willis film started as Commando 2 for Arnold Schwarzenegger, but screenwriter Steven de Souza and actual production histories confirm Die Hard was adapted from Roderick Thorp’s novel Nothing Lasts Forever.
