John I Reigned Four Days

On November 15, 1316, French king John I, known as John the Posthumous, was born in Paris as the posthumous son and successor of Louis X. He became the youngest person to rule France, the only French king to hold the title from birth, and the only one to remain king for his entire life. John died four days later, giving him the shortest reign of any undisputed French king, and his uncle succeeded him as Philip V.
