Farouk Pickpocketed Winston Churchill's Watch

Egyptian king Farouk became notorious for pickpocketing after pardoning a thief in exchange for lessons in the skill. In August 1942, he stole a pocket watch belonging to British prime minister Winston Churchill during a meeting, then returned it and dismissed the theft as a practical joke. After a military coup forced Farouk to abdicate and leave Egypt in 1952, authorities examined his abandoned possessions and discovered a large collection of pornography.
