Inoki Kicked Ali 107 Times

On June 26, 1976, American undisputed heavyweight boxing champion Muhammad Ali fought Japanese professional wrestler Antonio Inoki at Tokyo's Nippon Budokan under special rules that heavily restricted Inoki's grappling, throwing, tackling, and kicking. Inoki responded by spending most of the 15-round fight on his back and kicking Ali's legs 107 times while Ali mounted little offense. The judges ultimately declared the fight a draw. Ali's left leg became badly swollen and infected, and he developed two blood clots that affected his mobility for the rest of his boxing career, with amputation discussed at one point.
