Allen Loughry Wrote Corruption Irony

In 2006, American Supreme Court Justice Allen Loughry published "Don’t Buy Another Vote, I Won’t Pay for a Landslide," a book about the history of political corruption in West Virginia. Twelve years later, while serving on the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia, Loughry became part of a corruption scandal over court spending, state property, and misuse of public resources. In October 2018, a federal jury convicted him of 11 counts, including wire fraud, mail fraud, witness tampering, and lying to the FBI, and sentenced him to 24 months in prison.
