UK Driver Avoided License Seventy Years

A UK man drove for more than 70 years without a driver’s license or insurance before police finally pulled him over in his 80s. Nottinghamshire Police stopped him in January 2022 after automatic number plate recognition cameras flagged his Mini One. He told officers he had been driving since he was 12 and had never held a license or insurance. Police said he had never been in an accident, caused anyone an injury, or made anyone lose money by hitting them while uninsured.
