Don King's Two Homicides

Don King's Two Homicides

American boxing promoter Don King killed two people before he became one of the sport's most famous power brokers. The first killing was ruled justifiable homicide after the man had tried to rob King, so King served no prison time. In 1966, King killed an employee named Sam Garrett by stomping him after a dispute over $600. A court convicted him of second-degree murder, later reduced the conviction to non-negligent manslaughter, and King served less than four years in prison.
