Sugar Industry Shifted Heart Blame

In the 1960s, the Sugar Research Foundation paid three Harvard scientists the modern equivalent of about $50,000 to review research on sugar, fat, and heart disease. The funding was not disclosed, and the review helped steer public health attention toward low-fat diets for decades.
