Garrett Brown Faked Speeder Speed

In "Return of the Jedi" (1983), the speeder chase used a clever filming trick by cinematographer Garrett Brown. Brown walked through the forest at about 5 mph while shooting at less than one frame per second. When the footage played back at 24 frames per second, the motion looked like it was racing through the forest at around 120 mph.
