George Lucas Praised MAD Parody

When "MAD" magazine published a parody of "Star Wars," George Lucas’s lawyers demanded that the issue be recalled and that Lucasfilm receive all revenue from it. The demand backfired because "MAD" had already received a letter from George Lucas himself. In that letter, Lucas expressed delight over the parody and even compared the artist to Leonardo da Vinci.
