Beatles Played Half-Empty Farewell

At the Beatles’ last stadium concert at Candlestick Park in San Francisco on August 29, 1966, about 7,000 tickets remained unsold, and the promoter lost money. The band played only 33 minutes, closing a tour marked by controversy, security fears, and growing exhaustion. No one announced it as their final paid concert at the time, but it became the last full public concert the Beatles ever performed.
