Khaleesi Name Outlived Thrones

The name "Khaleesi" has appeared in the top 1,000 US baby names for newborn girls since 2014. The title came from "Game of Thrones," where it belonged to Daenerys Targaryen, and parents kept using it even after the show ended. Its popularity dropped after the series finale, but about 120 girls still receive the name Khaleesi each year (as of 2026).
