Harry Potter Changed Child Filming

Harry Potter Changed Child Filming

For "Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone," Warner Bros. wanted to film in the UK, but British child performer rules made the schedule difficult because the young cast had limited working hours and required schooling on set. British film officials helped secure locations, Leavesden Film Studios, and changes to child labor rules, including a small increase in weekly working hours and more flexible on-set class timing. Warner Bros. accepted the UK proposal, and principal photography began at Leavesden on September 29, 2000.
