Dobby’s Welsh Sock Grave

At Freshwater West beach in Pembrokeshire, Wales, Harry Potter fans created a mock grave for Dobby the house elf near the spot where his death scene was filmed. The tribute grew into thousands of painted pebbles, messages, trinkets, and socks, a nod to the sock that freed Dobby in "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets." In 2022, National Trust Wales allowed the memorial to stay for the time being but asked visitors to stop leaving items because paint chips, socks, and trinkets could harm the protected beach environment.
