Nicole Delien Slept Through Holidays

A 17-year-old girl from Pennsylvania once slept for 64 days, from Thanksgiving in 2012 into January 2013. The teenager, a girl named Nicole Delien, had Kleine-Levin syndrome, also known as "Sleeping Beauty syndrome," and often slept 18 to 19 hours a day during an episode. She would only get up to eat or use the bathroom while in a sleepwalking-like state, then later remember almost nothing about it. Her long sleep episode made her miss Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, and even her own birthday.
