Last Dinosaur May Be Triceratops

The last known individual dinosaur may have been a Triceratops that lived only a few thousand years before the K–Pg extinction event about 66 million years ago. In 2011, researchers studying fossil layers in Montana found a Triceratops fossil in one of the youngest rock layers known to contain dinosaur remains. So far, scientists have not found any dinosaur fossils from layers younger than the K–Pg boundary, indicating that non-avian dinosaurs disappeared at that point.
