Louise Bundy, the mother of serial killer Ted Bundy, continued to defend her son even after his conviction for the murders of dozens of young women in the 1970s. As Bundy awaited execution for his crimes in Florida, she visited him in prison and reportedly told him, “You’ll always be my precious son.” Despite overwhelming evidence, she refused for years to accept that he had committed the murders. She lived quietly in Tacoma, Washington, until her death in 2013 at age 88.
