Thor Christiansen Survivor Recognized Him

In Los Angeles during 1976 and 1977, Danish-born Thor Nis Christiansen carried out a series of murders targeting young women he picked up while driving his Ford Pinto. The American serial killer shot his victims in the head and dumped their bodies along remote roads and hillsides around Southern California. His crimes might have continued unnoticed if not for a woman who survived one of his attacks. After being shot in the head one of her victims survived. She later recognized Christiansen months afterward while he was sitting in a bar and reported him to police. Investigators then connected him to four other unsolved murders with the same method, leading to his arrest and conviction.
