Elizabeth Wettlaufer’s Pastor Confession Secret

Canadian serial killer nurse Elizabeth Wettlaufer privately confessed to her pastor that she had murdered four residents while working in nursing homes in Ontario, Canada. Wettlaufer committed the killings between 2007 and 2014, using injections of insulin to poison elderly patients under her care. When she revealed the crimes during a religious conversation, the pastor chose to honor his promise of confidentiality and did not report the confession to police. Because the admission remained secret, authorities remained unaware of the murders for years. She later murdered two more victims before eventually confessing to police in 2016.
