Bill Nye Quit Boeing

In 1978, Bill Nye started doing stand-up comedy after he won a Steve Martin lookalike contest. He kept his day job at Boeing while he performed comedy at night. On October 3, 1986, he quit Boeing so he could focus on comedy full-time.
