When Jonny Greenwood first joined Radiohead, he pretended to play keyboards by miming on a powered-off instrument and only learned the chords after studio sessions. During early recording, Thom Yorke would tell him that he could not quite hear what Greenwood was doing but thought he was adding an interesting texture.
