Objective Tinnitus You Can Hear

In rare instances, the sound of tinnitus is detectable by someone other than the patient. It can be heard using a stethoscope, and doctors call this form objective tinnitus. Instead of being a purely internal noise only the sufferer perceives, the sound in these cases comes from a physical source in or near the ear that produces an audible signal another listener can pick up.
