King Kong Octopus Becomes Dinner

In King Kong vs. Godzilla (1962), the effects crew used four live octopuses to stage the attack of the giant sea creature. After they finished filming the writhing monster shots, they released three of the animals back into the wild. The fourth octopus did not get a reprieve and ended up as dinner for the film's special effects director that night.
