Hidden Gimli Stunt Double Credit

In The Lord of the Rings (2001-2003), stunt performer Brett Beattie spent so much time in Gimli's armor, makeup, and battle scenes that he initially received a co-credit as Gimli alongside John Rhys-Davies. Within a week, the studio removed that shared credit after concerns about "preserving the illusion that is Gimli" and keeping the character tied to a single face for audiences.
