People can't receive a pope's organs, even if he carries a donor card. In February 2011, Vatican officials said Pope Benedict XVI's German donor card became invalid when he was elected in 2005. They explained that a pope's body belongs to the Church and must be buried intact, which also avoids problems with veneration of relics. So even a pro-transplant pope cannot donate after death.
