Pilots and copilots can't eat the same meal when they fly the plane together. Many airlines require the captain and first officer to choose different dishes to reduce the risk that both get food poisoning. The policy keeps at least one pilot healthy enough to operate the flight if a meal turns out to be bad. Flight attendants serve pilots separate meals for this reason.
