Tragic Roller Coaster Incident in 2011

In 2011 at Darien Lake Theme Park in New York, Sgt. James Hackemer, a double amputee who had lost his legs, was permitted to ride the Ride of Steel despite a rule requiring two legs to ride it. During the ride, he was ejected from his seat and died.
