A Mass Suicide for Justice

In 1941, 73-year-old Nepali activist Yogmaya Neupane led 67 of her followers, including women and children, to a mass suicide to protest the Nepali regime's brutal dictatorship. They leapt together into the Arun River after their demands for justice were ignored. None of their bodies were ever recovered.
