Love Letters Turned Into Art

Emma Hauck, a German woman institutionalized in the early 1900s, spent her final years writing desperate letters to her husband. Many consisted only of the words "come, sweetheart" or "Come," scrawled over and over until the page became an abstract blur of longing. The letters were never sent but later gained recognition as haunting works of outsider art.
