Rob McElhenney's Breakthrough with Sunny

Rob McElhenney, best known for playing Mac, created and wrote the pilot episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2005) after struggling as an actor for nearly a decade. He filmed the original low-budget pilot with friends using a handheld camera, which eventually caught FX's attention.
