Shark Week's Misleading Content

Six marine biologists analyzed 202 episodes of Shark Week, evaluating them against more than 15 scientific variables. Their study revealed that the vast majority of episodes contained incorrect or misleading information about sharks and their behavior. Out of all the episodes reviewed, only six offered any actionable guidance on shark conservation.
