Columbo's Catchphrase Origins

Columbo's signature catchphrase, "Just one more thing," originated because a scene was too short, and the writers-unwilling to retype the script on a typewriter-simply added the line at the end as if the character had forgotten something. Columbo, played by Peter Falk, is a shrewd but disheveled detective named Lieutenant Frank Columbo in the crime drama series Columbo (1968-2003).
