Message to Gliese 581c

In 2008, humans sent a message to the planet Gliese 581c, which is expected to arrive there in 2029. Transmitted via Ukraine's RT-70 radio telescope as part of the "A Message from Earth" project, the message targeted Gliese 581c-20.3 light-years away-because it lies in the habitable zone, though scientists believe the odds of receiving a reply by 2050 remain extremely low.
