Colorado River Toad

Colorado River Toad

Colorado River toads, known for their psychoactive secretions, produce a toxin containing 5-MeO-DMT, a hallucinogen five times more potent than DMT. While some people have attempted to get high by licking the toad's toxic glands, the drug must be properly extracted. Ingestion of the toad's toxins can be fatal-especially for predators like dogs-and has led to arrests and severe poisonings.
