The bulldog ant of Australia is considered the most dangerous ant in the world. It attacks using both its sting and powerful jaws simultaneously, and its extreme aggressiveness and even jumping behavior make it lethal. With some species possessing retractable stingers measuring up to 6?mm, there have been at least three human fatalities since 1936-including a Victorian farmer in 1988-where it was known to kill adults within 15 minutes.
