Rosary Pea

The rosary pea is one of the most dangerous plants worldwide. Its bright red, bead-like seeds-often made into jewelry by children-contain abrin, a toxin 75 times more potent than ricin; just one chewed seed can be fatal. Native to forests in Oceania and Asia but now pantropical due to human activity, its high toxicity and invasive nature make it one of the top ten most dangerous plants on Earth.
