Fertile Soil from Ashes

In some Nazi death camps, the soil contains fragments of human bone and ash. In these areas, one must dig several layers deep to reach pure dirt. Reports also suggest that the surrounding fields became unusually fertile due to the spread of human ashes, although this is difficult to confirm. Historically, similar phenomena have been observed, such as at Cannae, where the land reportedly yielded abundant crops for generations following the battle that claimed around 70,000 lives.
