  1. This business as to who-all are worthy to wield Mjolnir ( #23 ) is nerve-wracking. According to the spell of Odin, candidates to wield Mjolnir must meet TWO- not ONE-but TWO basic requirements: Requirement Number One: The successful candidate will be extraordinarily noble of both heart and character. On that basis, all of the wielders listed above qualify. Where all of the candidates on the above list do NOT qualify is Requirement Number Two: The strength of arm requirement. Mighty Mjolnir weighs EIGHT HUNDRED WHOPPING POUNDS, per The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe, so, in order to heft that bad boy, the applicant must not ONLY be Christ-like in character, ( as all of the names on the above list are, minus Loki, of course ) they must ALSO be physically strong enough to heft eight hundred pounds, regardless of HOW noble in character, heart, and spirit they are!! That hammer is DAMNED HEAVY, and there are reasons FOR that!!! Of the above-listed characters, here are the ones who will NOT- repeat, NOT- be able to lift it, due to this stipulation! 1) Storm. She’s bad, all right, but her power comes from a genetic ability to command weather, not lift cars in the air. Her level of body-strength is peak-normal human, due to her many years of training in the X-Men’s Danger Room, but she simply does NOT possess the necessary strength of arm to lift Thor’s hammer. Sorry, Storm-fans. 2) Black Widow- same explanation. Natasha is bad, and all, after so many years of training in the KGB’s “Red Room”, but Natasha- the Black Widow-simply can NOT lift an eight hundred pound object!! I’m sorry! No way!! 3) Conan the Barbarian- actually, Conan probably COULD, with a massive effort, heft the hammer, like Captain America and the Black Panther could, ( but, in all three of their cases, not without risking the development of a massive hernia!! ) However, where Conan misses the cut is his relative lack of character- he’s a nice guy, and all, but so is Daredevil, and I doubt that neither ol’ Hornhead OR the Reiver possess the necessary levels of nobility to lift Mjolnir on that basis. ( Daredevil has been known to be guilty from time to time of very sketchy behavior, thus, ol’ Fearless misses the cut, as well ) 4) Captain America. Yes. With titanic effort, as he demonstrated in ‘The Mighty Thor’ #390, 1990, he can handle it- and rightly so!! 5) Superman- you bet. No problemo, compadres! 6) Wonder Woman. Not ONLY can the Amazin’ Amazon wrest the hammer from Thor’s grasp, with no trouble, physical, magical, moral, or otherwise, but it was a pure HOOT to watch her DO so, back during 2004’s “DC Versus Marvel” event!! That’s just high entertainment! 7) Loki. Are you fucking KIDDING me-??!!??!!??-?? I have no trouble believing that, as an inhabitant of the general area of the Asgardian dimensional plane, that Loki would have no trouble meeting the “strength-of-arm” requirement, but, people- I don’t give a hairy poot HOW ‘woke’ and/or politically correct the Marvel Universe/Marvel Cinematic Universe has become, Loki is the GOD OF EVIL- meaning, he AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIES from the ‘character qualification requirement’, strictly on that basis!!!! Come on, people- I don’t care if Marvel Entertainment HAS turned Loki’s story into a ‘redemption arc’- NO ONE who has tried to conquer Asgard, and kill Thor as many times as Loki has, is going to be able to change his spots!!! It’s just not happening!! Loki is the God of EVIL, people, NOT the God of Redemption/Turning Over A New Leaf!!! Some things in life are the way they ARE, for a REASON, and this is just one OF them!! So- no hammer-hefting for the God of Evil, not today, not tomorrow, not yesterday, and not EVER!!! Logic talks, and ‘woke’-bullshit WALKS!!!! Thank you for the pleasure of your time!
