Muhammad Ali Reframed Frazier Defeat

On March 8, 1971, undefeated American boxing champions Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier met at New York City's Madison Square Garden for the "Fight of the Century." Frazier knocked Ali down in the final round and won by unanimous decision, handing Ali his first professional defeat. Ali publicly refused to admit defeat and sought to frame the result as a "White Man's Decision." Ali won their 1974 rematch and defeated Frazier again in their third and final bout, the "Thrilla in Manila," in 1975.
