South Park Counted 200 'Shits'

In 2001, Comedy Central rejected plans to let South Park use the word "shit" uncensored only a few times in "It Hits the Fan." When creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone proposed using it about 200 times, the network approved the episode, making it the first South Park installment to broadcast the word uncensored. Viewers heard it 162 times and saw it written 38 times, bringing the total to exactly 200, while an on-screen counter tracked every spoken use.
