Scientology's Alleged South Park Investigation

After South Park mocked Scientology in the 2005 episode "Trapped in the Closet," the church's Office of Special Affairs allegedly hired private investigators to examine creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Former Scientology executive Marty Rathbun later published what he described as a 2006 internal memo showing that investigators searched for material they could use to discredit or pressure the pair. The investigation reportedly gathered details about their offices, cars, friends, and employees but found no vulnerabilities to exploit.
