China Erased South Park Online

In 2019, South Park released "Band in China," mocking the Chinese government's harsh censorship and Hollywood's attempts to appease it. The episode referenced forbidden subjects, including the Dalai Lama, Winnie-the-Pooh, and organ transplants. Chinese websites subsequently deleted or blocked the show's pages, videos, forums, and related search terms, effectively banning South Park in China.
