Wing's Cameo Boosted Record Sales

In 2005, New Zealand singer Wing appeared as a version of herself in the South Park episode "Wing," which creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone developed after a friend directed them to her website. The exposure reportedly boosted sales of her records. Parker later said Wing sent him a letter thanking him for the increased exposure.
