Technicolor Combined Three Dyed Matrices

In three-strip Technicolor, a prism inside the camera separated incoming light into red, green, and blue records, exposing three black-and-white negatives simultaneously. Technicians then created complementary cyan, magenta, and yellow dye matrices and transferred the colors successively onto a single blank strip, producing the final full-color print.
